good as new

Instead of going to landfill, we stop over 100 tonnes of waste going to landfill by giving our returned mattresses a second chance in a new home. Our quality team carefully checks each returned mattress, gives them a super duper deep clean right to their core (bye bye bacteria), adds new covers and re-rolls them. Finally they’re popped in a box, all ready to be rehomed. Sweet dreams.

how firm is an eve mattress?

All of our mattresses give you a Goldilocks, just-right medium-firm support. We’ve found this sweet spot suits all types of sleeping positions by keeping your spine aligned and the pressure off, so you stay wonderfully comfy all night long.

support where you need it the most

Whichever way you sleep, the original hybrid mattress responds to your body and keeps you supported for a peaceful slumber. Take a peek inside to find out how...

the top cover

The moisture-wicking material of this top panel stops you getting hot and clammy - a bit like sticking one leg out from underneath the cover.

the evecomfort® layer

Our springy foam offers great support for your bony bits and helps to keep your spine aligned. It's also ultra breathable so you're not too hot, and not too cold, but just right.

the memory layer

What’s the perfect partner to a springier foam? Something that brings light relief. The memory layer provides a snug softness and keeps the pressure off. Some say it’s like a surprisingly supportive cloud.

the support layer

We protect our beloved springs with foam layers. It also gives your mattress some extra side support, so you don’t get that ‘rolling off’ sensation at the edge.

the pocket springs

Over 800, 12 cm full sized springs individually respond to the body’s movements and ease the pressure from your shoulders and hips for a comfortable night - whether you sleep on your back, front or side.

the extra support

Another 3.5 cm layer of foam for extra-added support.

the side and base cover

We’ve used a polyester fabric to make things more breathable and to prevent wear and tear.

comfort, firmness and support

As with all of our eve mattresses, the original hybrid mattress has a medium-firm feel. We use full-size 12 cm springs to provide superior support for all sleepers.

temperature control

Full sized springs ensure a cool circulation of air, while the foam we use is 30 times more breathable than the traditional stuff.

manufacture, materials and care

country of origin

  • The original hybrid mattress was designed and manufactured in the UK.

top cover

  • The white top panel of the mattress (98% polyester and 2% elastane) can be unzipped and popped in the wash at 40°C.
  • Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or tumble dry.

mattress care

  • You don’t need to flip your mattress, but you might need to rotate it 180° every now and then to get the most from it. You’ll find more care information in this guide.

quality and safety

For a safe and healthy sleep, all foam materials we use are CertiPUR® certified and the washable top cover is Oekotex certified - meaning they have been independently tested to ensure they contain no harmful chemicals.

We source our raw materials from National Bed Federation members to make sure they’re the highest quality.

All foam in the manufacture of our mattresses are CFC and PBDE free and all components comply with UK fire regulations BS 7177:2008 +A1:2011 Low hazard for domestic use.

We also make the mattress using ISO 9001 quality standards. From the first cut of the foam to the finished product, we make sure each mattress has strict quality checks. And, for the highest safety and quality, we continually test our foams.

faqs

do your refurbished mattresses come with a trial period?

We give you 30 nights to try out a refurbished mattress at home.

Our sleep experts recommend giving a mattress around 30 days to work its magic. So, feel free to remove all its packaging, throw on some sumptuously soft bedding and get cosy with it.

If you’re not convinced by the end of your trial, simply get in touch to start the returns process. Once the mattress is with us, we’ll issue you a refund.

how do I know whether the mattress I purchased is brand new or used?

Our returned mattresses go through a completely different process to our new mattresses. They're labelled and stored separately, so there's no chance of a mix up.

do refurbished mattresses come in a box?

All of our refurbished mattresses come in a box, just like our new mattresses.

how are the returned mattresses checked and cleaned?

Our certified refurbished mattresses are thoroughly checked over by our quality control team. Before they're even refurbished, the team makes sure each mattress complies with our quality standards. They’re then cleaned right to the very core to remove any bacteria. A brand new super soft outer cover is popped on, and finally the mattress is rolled into a box ready to go to a new home.

what do you use to clean returned mattresses?

The detergents we use for cleaning returned mattresses are completely safe and non-toxic. They're medical grade and are also used by the NHS, so you can rest easy knowing your eve mattress is sparkling clean and completely safe to sleep on.
