Drusillas is a family-run business founded in 1925 when Captain Ann bought a derelict farm and 20 acres of land and opened the cottage to sell teas to passing motorists. He named the tea rooms after his first wife Drusilla.

Today, Drusillas is widely regarded as the best small zoo in the country with a great range of exotic animals and an emphasis on education. There are so many things to do and learn and their interactive displays are all designed to bring learning to life. The zoo has two enclosures which are home to a number of sloths – Halina, Sophocles, Flash and Gordon – where they eat their favourite foods and sleep most of the day!

Four of you lucky people can win the chance to adopt (and come along to visit) your very own real sloth. These four beauties, Halina, Sophocles, Flash and Gordon would love to be adopted. To enter, all you need to do is buy any of our eve goodies between 20.12.23 and 09.01.24.

Flash is 7 years old, she sadly lost her Mum at just a few weeks old and was hand reared by Drusillas’ keepers, Gemma and Mark. Flash is crepuscular, meaning she’s most active at night and likes to snooze in the day time.

gordon

This fabulous fellow is 8 years old. He came to Drusillas from Amersfoort Zoo in the Netherlands. He loves eating his green beans and tipped the scales at whopping 6.2 kilos at his last weigh in. Wowzers!

halina

Beautiful Halina is 6 years old and came to Drusillas’ from Nordhorn Zoo in Germany. As well as looking after baby Echo, you can often spot her climbing the ropes in Drusillas’ walkthrough enclosure. Her favourite food is sweet potato.

sophocles

The elder statesman of the sloth gang, Sophocles is 14 years young! He came to Drusillas from Amazon World on the Isle of Wight. He’s still spritely and loves climbing the walkthrough enclosure. Courgettes are his favourite.

the details you need to know

Any individual who purchases any product from the Eve Sleep website only (evesleep.co.uk) between 20th December 2023 and 9th January 2024 inclusive will have the right to enter Eve Sleep’s ‘Adopt a sloth Prize draw’. The Draw is for the following prize consisting of five elements:

  • 3 x Drusillas Park entry tickets www.drusillas.co.uk
  • Certificate of adoption signed by Zoo Director of the Park
  • Keepsake photo of adopted sloth from the Park
  • Personalised plaque near the sloth enclosure
  • An eve Sleep branded sloth

The Customer will need to provide a valid email address to enter the Draw in order for the Customer to be notified should they be successful in the Draw for the Prize. If a Customer does not provide an email address then Eve Sleep reserves the right to not permit that Customer entry into the Draw.

The Draw will take place as soon as possible after 9th January 2024.

The Customer who wins the Prize through the Draw will be contacted by Bensons no later than the 19th January 2024. The Winner will need to confirm in writing to Bensons that they accept the Prize by no later than the 26th January 2024. Should the Winner not confirm by 26th January 2024 that they accept the Prize then then Eve Sleep reserves the right to not award the Prize to the Winner and it also reserves the right to decide whether or not to rerun the Draw to select a different winner.

Only one entry to the Draw per purchase from the Website (notwithstanding the number of products purchased). Moreover, an email address can only be entered into the Draw once no matter how many purchases from the Website that the Customer to whom the email address belongs to has made. Bensons reserves the right to carry out any checks it deems necessary to ensure that the Draw has been operated and Prize claimed correctly in accordance with these terms.

If the Winner either cancels or returns whether at the time of the Draw or subsequently, the Product that they purchased from the Website that allowed them entry into the Draw in accordance with these terms then Bensons reserves the right to either not provide the Prize to the Winner and/or reclaim the cost of the Prize from the Winner.

Bensons reserves the right to withdraw, change or cancel the Draw and/or Prize at any time and its decision in all matters relating to the Draw and Prize is final. There is no alternative to the Prize, cash or otherwise. The use of the Prize is subject to any terms and conditions of any part of the Prize, for instance any expiry date in using the Park tickets. It is the responsibility of the Winner to familiarize themselves with any terms and conditions such as expiry date of the Prize itself.

The Winner may be required to participate in post-event publicity arranged by or on behalf of Bensons. Therefore, by entering the Draw a Customer consents to participate in such post-event publicity should that Customer be the Winner.

Bensons accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment by a Customer the Winner and/ or anyone else in relation to the Draw and Prize.

The Draw and Prize is governed by English law and should there be any dispute the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
